3000 series aluminum coil alloy density
The 3000 series aluminum alloys are a group of alloys primarily composed of aluminum with additional elements such as manganese (Mn). These alloys are known for their excellent formability, corrosion resistance and moderate strength. The main alloying element in this series is manganese, which is present at about 1% to 1.5% of the alloy composition.
For the 3000-series aluminum alloys, commonly known as aluminum-manganese alloys, the typical density is about 2.7 grams per cubic centimeter (g/cm3) or 0.0975 pounds per cubic inch (lb/in3).
