Density is a measure of mass per unit volume, usually expressed in grams per cubic centimeter (g/cm³) or kilograms per cubic meter (kg/m³). In the case of aluminum alloys, a density meter can be used to determine the density of the particular aluminum alloy being tested.
The 1000 series aluminum alloys are characterized by high purity, aluminum as the main element, and are not heat treatable. They generally have excellent corrosion resistance but relatively low strength compared to other aluminum alloy families. The aluminum alloy density table for 1000 series aluminum alloy is as follows.
